VERDENSTEATRET
is a group of artists from different art-fields who work together and make
live-art and other art projects.
Verdensteatret is based in Oslo, Norway. The artistic
leaders are Lisbeth J. Bodd and Asle Nilsen.
The productions of Verdensteatret is a result of a collaborative
process
where different medias are deeply merged into each other.
The works has over the last years become more and more multi-disciplinary.
One of the characteristics is an experimental use of new technology in visual and audio medias
in
a close dialogue with more traditional and historic tools of artistic expression.
"SEEING
THE SOUND, LISTENING TO THE IMAGES"
Today
we see our works as a kind of orchestral works, or as space-related musical
compositions.
This intermedial characteristic of the works makes it natural to show them in various contexts,
such
as theatre/stage rooms, art-museums/galleries, contemporary music-festivals,
etc.
Several
of the productions are co-produced with
Black Box Theatre, Bit Teatretgarasjen.
Verdensteatret is supported by Arts Council Norway and
other official art-foundations in Norway.
