For their new production Verdensteatret went on a long
journey to Vietnam and the Mekong-river last winter. Flotsam and other
materials collected during the journey were the starting point for the working
process towards the new piece. By combining robotics, video,
sound, music, shadow play, object theatre and new technology,
the performance takes the audience on a journey where reason ends and the
spectator is drawn into an endless transformation through crossing lines of
images and stories.
Today
Verdensteatret is one of the most innovative and experimental companies in
Norway. Their performances are well known and have gained a high reputation,
both in Norway and internationally.
The
production louder, succeeding the Bessie Award-winning Concert
for Greenland is awaited with high expectation. Mainly due to the
innovative and often unconventional use of new technologies and materials, their
latest works has achieved international success and has thrilled
the audience as well as critics from all different fields of art.
louder is just as magic and inventive as
Verdensteatret's earlier productions.
The multidisciplinarity of last years Concert for
Greenland is now taken into new unexpected landscapes.
