Fortellerorkesteret started out as a further development
of one part of the performance
Concert for Greenland and has turned into a fully automized installation.
Moving objects, sound, video, light . No humans involved.
The performance Concert for Greenland was based
on a journey to Greenland
undertaken by Verdensteatret in 2003.
Fortellerorkesteret is a room-installation.
An electro-mechanical abstract theatre.
A construction that function as audiovisual "animation-machine"
where images, sculptors, sound and video is deeply integrated into each other
and which hopefully result in a musical composition of stories and images.
By use of different motors, robotics and custom software the whole construction
is self-running.
The technological tools together with the more mechanical instruments at use
make up an ensemble
wich become directly creative, live in the construction.
The installation can be viewed as a machine, as one complex autonomus instrument,
or as a whole orchestra with many voices and tunes, many shapes and many stories.
Fortellerorkesteret is made by:
Asle Nilsen, Håkon Lindbäck, Piotr Pajchel,
Lisbeth J. Bodd, Rune Madsen, Christian Blom.
